The first Chapter.

I think that the first chapter was pretty long and it rambled alot about soe things. Overall i think the book will get better esp after one dude got shot in the head as soon as he finished taking a piss in the woods and how some people carry around severed fingers and shit, i think thats all cool and since it was in the first chapter then by the time im to the end of the book im feel like i would be very entertained,

I think he wants use beauty to cover up the pain that he went through during his time in the war. he has a story to tell about a war he did not Love but to cover up for the hate he used things that people would call beauty. Courage the Cowardly O' Brian

No i dont think he was a coward for going to war, i think it was a really brave thing to do because he went through a whole lot in the war over there. And my opinion on war hasn't changed much because the war then is very different from the war now. The war we have now is full of people that signed up to go there so it isnt as bad as the Vietnam war described in this story. Well actually i dont have any set thoughts on the war since ive never experienced a war sooooo idk.

What O'Brian is Saying.

He is saying that memories last a life time. And when there is nothing else to keep you sane, remember the good times, the good stories, and when you need motivation remember the bad stories and compare them to the good times. Yes i agree with him because everything in life will leave a memory and sometimes you can lose everything you have in the world but you will always have memories.

I don't think does much of anything besides expand our imagination and make us think about the truth. Well for m i guess. I don't really know what i would get from fiction, some fiction stories make me wish it was actually real, but then i guess i do start to think about my real life and what goes on to make me wish my real life was my fake life.

Project

Im proud of my project and being able to make myself think about janies perspective about all of the men i have been with. I broke a comfort wall with thinking about being with men lol. But i like how my project was and how described my many encounters. If i had allll the time in the world i would have gotten an costume wore make up and came to class in complete drag lmao. Written a script and everything. but that just isnt the case. Im still proud of the work i did.

Anything worth fighting for

No i don't think a physical fight is every really needed. Because its not going to get anything positive out an physical fight. But fighting for something you believe in by any form of protesting is perfectly ok. Wait, actually if someone was physically trying to hurt you and you did nothing wrong there is a time when fighting becomes defense and it is fine to do.

War

War is sometimes needed. I think if there is a threat against our country then i would agree with going to war. In the situation we are in now i dont think we should still be in iraq or iran. This is when war is unnecessary. But overall i would agree with going to war.

Nam War

I don't know much about the Vietnam war. I dont really know what exactly i would want to learn. But i know that it would be an interesting topic to learn about because i know around that time there was a lot of controversy around the war in Vietnam. Maybe i would like to know why we were at war with them. The things people went through that were effected by the war? What causes and effects did the war have on the world ? Did the war change anything that we do today ? Hmm, maybe im ready to learn about this :)

Did janie do the right thing ?

I never finished the book to really know. But i would kill a person i love if i really have to, Esp if they were already dying. And if someone wanted to kill me and i loved them i would forget all about the love shit and kill them first.

if you love someone let him/her go.

I almost agree with this. It depends on the relationship, if you see that the person honestly cant function with you or they depend on you too much the you might want to let them go so they can focus on themselves. Sometimes you have to let a person go because no matter how much you love them if the situation is hard to deal with and there is more pain than join you might want to let them go.

Do we control our own destiny ? To what extent

I think we have a majority of the control in our destiny. Generally by the choices we make and the company we keep around us. Based on our decisions we make change the outcome of our life. If someone chooses to hang around mostly violent people who aren't about a positive lifestyle then that person will soon adapt to that negative life. If you surround yourself with positive people who are focused then you will adapt to a more positive lifestyle there is this quote "Show me who your friends are, and can can show you who you are" and that pretty much sums up what i just said. And another way we control our destiny is based on how hard we work for what we want or pretty much whatever we value in life.

Goals For New QTR

1. Stay focused at all times, hallways, lunch, class, even on the bus
2. Try not to dominate class discussions and let others speak...
3. Elaborate on my English warm up post

6. Tell my imaginary friends not to ride their unicorns in the class because it distracts me

8. Manage my time and dedicate more time to homework, Even though i still manage to get my shit done, if i put more time in doing it I will learn what im actually doing.
9. Care more about other peoples feelings... or at least act like i do.

Walk In Them Shoes.

I don't think you can completely walk in someones shoes and really experience what they are going through because everyone thinks differently and unless you have the same mind then you can't go through what someone else goes through. Ex: I don't like mashed potatoes because of the mushy texture , So and So doesn't like them because of the mushy texture either. We both have the same story but what if I have some idea that mushy foods will eat the insides of my body. Unless so and so has the same exact thought process as me then he won't know what its like to be me. Or there may be 10 homeless people living on the same street. Yeah they are experiencing the same thing, some people may say they are all "walking in the same shoes" but what if one person feels like being homeless isn't that bad ? therefore you cant walk completely in someone else shoes because the thought process makes it incomplete.

Relationships , Change GOOD VS. BAD

When the relations gets deeper and you can have more conversations about more things in the world and it becomes more than just a sexual attraction its a great thing. But when trust issues occur and its hard for one to trust the other its bad.

What makes us do what we do ? Want or Desire.

I think its a little of both, Sometimes its neither what we Want but what we DON'T want. Whether our want is conceived by monetary gain or to uphold a family standard. Our desires will always become a want, if its not a want then its not a desire.

PG-13 Dream.

Damn i had a dream about a unicorn and a dragon when i was running down the street and jammed my toe on Cinderella and then the 3 little pigs helped me up. We all went back to the house and laughed about what just happened. Then my girlfriend Nappy Locks started talkin some stupid shit i just didnt want to hear. All that neck rollin and gum poppin, It just pissed me off. I stormed out of the den and went to the woods to talk to the trees. As i was talking to the trees i smelled weed in the area, i was like daaayyyuuuummmmm, whats going on ? then smokey came out of no where and said.
